If you are considering taking on a rescue dog or cat there are several societies in the local area that can help.
CAS is the society I work with the most. They have many lovely mongrel and pedigree cats and dogs all needing loving homes. They are either at kennels or being fostered at home by people, and all the animals have all their vaccinations and have been spayed or castrated. You can either pop into the CAS office in Nerja or go along to the Sunday car boot at Almijara, Capistrano Nerja or have a look at their web site. Call Wendy or Karen to arrange to see the animals they have.
Maybe you would like to become a cat feeder! If you have a few ferral cats in the area where you live give CAS a call, they will provide food for you to feed them, stopping them scavenging for food, and keeping them in one area. CAS can also help in getting them spayed or castrated helping them to stop breeding.
